Mireia Lapuerta wins bronze in Berlin

Mireia climbed onto the podium of the European U21 Cup that took place during the weekend in Berlin.

Mireia's performance began in the German tatamis with triumph for wazari and Ippon against the local Isch. In his second exit to the tatami he defeated the Belgian Petit by Ippon in just one minute.

In the semifinals he gave up in a disputed match against Turkish Beder, runner-up of Junior Europe so he had to play the tan metal. In this instance he had as an opponent the Brazilian Ferreira, number 3 in the world and current Pan American Champion of this category which he defeated from wazari.

Mireia has concluded in these two weeks with two medals (gold in Prague and bronze in Berlin) in two of the most demanding tournaments of the European U21 Circuit, before the European Championship and considered the most important tournament of the whole year by subtracting the continental and world championships.
