Silver medal in the U-23 European Championship

There are no adjectives to describe the season of Judoka Masnovas Mireia Lapuerta, who has just been proclaimed subcampiona of Europe sub-23.

Lapuerta, who started off as a favorite after a spectacular season, has won the fifth medal in a continental Championship. After defeating Wazari in the first round of the Turkish Beder (runner-up of junior 2018 Europe) and placing himself in the final to defeat the rapid Ippón (21 seconds) Israeli Malca (European bronze U23 a year past), could not be beat in the final at the Pichkaleva (European silver U23 2018).

Fifth European medal for Lapuerta and the second of this season, when in September the third podium drawer of the sub-21 category was raised.

Now Mireia Lapuerta travels directly from Russia to Japan to train for 20 days and participate in his first Grand Slam.
